Governor orders flags at half-staff
By The Associated Press

HELENA - Gov. Brian Schweitzer has ordered that flags be flown at half-staff Monday in honor of a 25-year-old soldier from Montana who collapsed and died after running a half marathon in Tennessee.

Staff Sgt. Benjamin "Levi" Pigman of Hamilton died at a Nashville hospital Saturday, shortly after completing the run at the Country Music Marathon.

Bruce Herring, president of Elite Racing, said Pigman died of a "sudden cardiac event."

Pigman was a helicopter engine mechanic with the 2nd Battalion, 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne) at Fort Campbell, a sprawling Army base on the Kentucky-Tennessee border. He had been in the Army since October 2001 and at Fort Campbell since July 2002.
